Delicious aromas of rose petal and tea leaves are followed by bright cherries. On the palate, the elegant personality is revealed by pomegranate and blueberry with subtle black licorice. Supple and silky with structured tannins exhibits the restrained quality that Anderson Valley lends to the overall impression of a wine.
The 2015 Copain Tous Ensemble Syrah is as deeply focused as we would expect from a particularly warm and concentrated vintage. This Syrah is a wine that has both youthful tannins and bright acidity, yet lush and approachable on the pallet. Fruit aromas of red huckleberry and black currents are intriguingly met with subtle hints of black olive skin, fresh cracked peppercorn, walnut shell, and wild game. Pleasantly tempered in body, the wine’s flavors of fresh blackberry, rhubarb, and pomegranate seeds conclude with an excitement of peppery spice on the finish. This is the perfect accompaniment for both classic dishes such as duck confit or an impromptu gathering of friends.
